About Carnival Village

Carnival Village is operated by Trinbago American Cultural Explorers (TACE) which is a cultural non-profit organization registered in 1998.
TACE is regarded as a distinctive community-based organization because of the harmony it fosters among all ethnic communities in Middletown, Connecticut.
By showcasing our culture "Carnival" to Middletown, we wish to share our art and culture with this wonderful county.
Our goals and objectives are:
Mission Statement
Our Mission is to American ancestry. To develop, promote, enhance and perpetuate the cultural diversity and heritage of the people of Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean. To sustain and educate the public of the multi-cultural history of Trinidad-Style carnival, thereby fostering greater relationships and increasing awareness of the arts, music, dance and customs of the peoples of Trinidad and Tobago and where one can revel in the exciting sounds of steel bands, calypso and soca, enjoy the wide variety of color that is carnival and savor the many flavors of the Caribbean.
Carnival is that time when all people mix freely with one intention- “TO HAVE FUN!”

DJ Mister Cee was Also known as “The Finisher,” Cee was a DJ, broadcaster, record executive, and radio personality. DJ, broadcaster, record executive, and radio personality, and is widely considered to be a pioneering figure in hip hop.
This Brooklyn-born DJ started his career when he was a DJ for Big Daddy Kane. From there in the early 1990s, he gained popularity as a radio DJ, showcasing the music of rising artists. His radio shows Throwback at Noon and Friday Night Live on Hot 97, where he showcased his encyclopedic knowledge of hip-hop and skills behind a turntable. During his 21 years at “Hot 97,” during this time he notably discovered hip-hop legend The Notorious B.I.G. and eventually became the associate executive producer on Biggie’s debut album, Ready to Die, and helped launch the careers of Jay Z, 50 Cent, and Alicia Keys, among others.
